Rationale
Why This Tool Exists
In a band rehearsal, making sure everyone is on the same tempo and the same bar is hard — especially when
someone gets lost partway through a complex piece. Studio Mode lets you view your Guitar Pro file directly
in the browser and focus on your own instrument's track; Group Rehearsal then syncs tempo, play/pause, and
the playback cursor across every device, eliminating the "where are we?" problem.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my Guitar Pro file saved to a server?
Not in solo mode — your file stays only in browser memory. In Group Rehearsal mode,
the file is held temporarily on the server for syncing; no permanent account is created.
Does Group Rehearsal sync audio too?
No, deliberately. Your band already hears the real instruments together in the
room; only tempo, play/pause, and the playback cursor are synced.
What file formats are supported?
.gp, .gp3, .gp4, .gp5, .gpx, and MusicXML (.musicxml, .xml) are supported. Files
are rendered in the browser using the alphaTab library.
What happens if I forget my room password?
If you saved the recovery key shown once when the room was created, you can set a
new password via "Forgot Password." If the key is lost too, the password can't be reset.
